THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE HAS ISSUED A
FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EST
TONIGHT.

* LOCATIONS...LAUREL HIGHLANDS AND SOUTH CENTRAL MOUNTAINS.

* HAZARD TYPES...FREEZING RAIN

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...A TRACE OF ICE ACCUMULATION...ESPECIALLY
  ELEVATED ROADWAYS AND OBJECTS.

* TIMING...PATCHY LIGHT FREEZING RAIN DEVELOPING BETWEEN 11 AM AND
  2 PM...BECOMING MORE WIDESPREAD BY LATE AFTERNOON AND CONTINUING
  THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.

* IMPACTS...ELEVATED AND UNTREATED ROADS AND WALKWAYS WILL BECOME
  SLIPPERY... MAKING TRAVEL HAZARDOUS.

* WINDS...SOUTHEAST 5 TO 10 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER 30S.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER.GOV/STATECOLLEGE ON THE INTERNET FOR MORE
INFORMATION ABOUT THE FOLLOWING HAZARDS.

   FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY.

A WEAK LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LIFTING UP THE EAST COAST COULD
POTENTIALLY SPREAD A BIT OF LIGHT FREEZING RAIN INTO THE MOUNTAINS
OF CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA TONIGHT. TEMPERATURES SHOULD RISE BY LATE
TUESDAY MORNING...ENDING THE THREAT OF ICING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

AN INTENSIFYING STORM SYSTEM WILL TRACK NORTH OF PENNSYLVANIA ON
CHRISTMAS DAY...BRINGING STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS TO THE AREA. THERE
IS A SLIGHT CHANCE THAT WINDS COULD BE STRONG ENOUGH TO CAUSE
SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES OR MINOR STRUCTURAL DAMAGE.
