...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING...

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* A PORTION OF CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
  AREAS...ADAMS...BEDFORD...BLAIR...FRANKLIN...FULTON...
  HUNTINGDON...SOMERSET AND YORK.

* THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING

* WIDESPREAD TWO AND A HALF TO THREE AND A HALF INCH TOTALS HAVE
  OCCURRED AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF BEDFORD, FULTON, HUNTINGDON AND
  ADAMS COUNTIES...AS OF MIDDAY THURSDAY. WHILE ADDITIONAL
  RAINFALL WILL BE SHOWERY THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...LOCALIZED AREAS
  MAY SEE AN ADDITIONAL INCH OR TWO THROUGH FRIDAY, ESPECIALLY IN
  THE UPSLOPE EAST FACING SLOPES OF THE BEDFORD AND FULTON
  COUNTIES.

* ABNORMALLY DRY CONDITIONS AND BELOW NORMAL STREAMFLOWS PRECEDING
  THE RAIN ARE LARGELY MITIGATING STREAM FLOODING IMPACTS ACROSS
  THE WATCH AREA. HOWEVER...SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS WILL STILL BE
  SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLOODING IN AREAS THAT RECEIVE ADDITIONAL HEAVY
  RAINFALL THROUGH FRIDAY. MAINSTEM RIVER FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED
  AT THIS TIME.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING ON SMALL
STREAMS...CREEKS...POOR DRAINAGE...URBAN AND LOW-LYING AREAS
BASED ON CURRENT FORECASTS.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE
FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.
