THIS AFTERNOON SPREADING A SWATH OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW ACROSS
SOUTHERN AND EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA THROUGH MOST OF THE DAY.

* LOCATIONS...THE POCONOS...SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY AND SOUTH CENTRAL
  MOUNTAINS...INCLUDING THE LAUREL HIGHLANDS.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 8 INCHES.

* TIMING...THE SNOW WILL BE HEAVIEST THROUGH THE MID AFTERNOON
  HOURS AND WILL TAPER OFF IN THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

* IMPACTS...SNOW COVERED ROADS. SIGNIFICANT IMPACT TO HOLIDAY
  TRAVEL. TRAVEL IS NOT ADVISABLE TODAY.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST 5 TO 10 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...AROUND 30.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TRAVEL IS DISCOURAGED TODAY. YOU MAY NEED TO CHANGE TRAVEL PLANS
IF POSSIBLE TO AVOID THE HEAVIEST OF THE SNOW. SNOWFALL RATES OF
MORE THAN AN INCH PER HOUR ARE POSSIBLE AT TIMES. SNOW THAT
INTENSE WILL MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR ROAD CREWS TO KEEP THE ROADS
CLEAR.
