RAIN WILL TRANSITION TO A MIX OF SLEET AND SNOW ACROSS THE REGION
THIS MORNING BEFORE ENDING. LIGHT SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF A
HALF AN INCH OR LESS IS EXPECTED. HOWEVER THE COMBINATION OF SNOW
AND ICE MAY MAKE AREA ROADWAYS SLIPPERY...SO MOTORISTS ARE URGED
TO USE CAUTION IF TRAVELING THIS MORNING.

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF NORTHERN CONNECTICUT...MASSACHUSETTS...SOUTHERN NEW
  HAMPSHIRE AND RHODE ISLAND

* UNTIL 8 AM EDT TOMORROW MORNING.

* RAIN WILL GRADUALLY TAPER OFF AND EVEN CHANGE TO A WINTRY MIX
  BEFORE ENDING OVERNIGHT. THIS RUNOFF WILL CONTINUE TO DRAIN INTO
  AREA RIVERS/STREAMS.

* THIS RAINFALL ON TOP OF ALREADY SWOLLEN RIVERS
  BASINS...ESPECIALLY THE CONNECTICUT...MERRIMACK...AND PAWCATUCK
  RIVER VALLEYS WILL RESULT IN MINOR RIVER FLOODING WITH THE
  POTENTIAL FOR MODERATE RIVER FLOODING. LIKELY LOCAL STREAMS AND
  RIVERS WILL ALSO BE IMPACTED AS WELL WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR
  MINOR FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE
FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.
