THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST NORTH
CAROLINA...EAST TENNESSEE AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

COLDER AIR WILL PUSH IN BEHIND A COLD FRONT TONIGHT INTO
FRIDAY MORNING...WITH RAIN SHOWERS CHANGING TO SNOW SHOWERS
ESPECIALLY ACROSS CENTRAL AND NORTHERN EAST TENNESSEE AND SOUTHWEST
VIRGINIA. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO AN INCH OR TWO WILL BE
POSSIBLE MAINLY ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE EAST TENNESSEE
MOUNTAINS AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY WILL BE
IN EFFECT FOR THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIANS STARTING TONIGHT AT
MIDNIGHT THROUGH NOON EST ON FRIDAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

ANOTHER ROUND OF WINTRY WEATHER IS POSSIBLE SUNDAY INTO MONDAY AS
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM AFFECTS THE AREA. FORECAST UNCERTAINTY IS
STILL RATHER HIGH AT THIS TIME...HOWEVER...IT APPEARS SOME
SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE. THE BEST CHANCES FOR
SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE ACROSS NORTHERN AREAS AND
ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE EAST TENNESSEE
MOUNTAINS AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA.

TONIGHT. RAIN SHOWERS WILL CHANGE TO SNOW SHOWERS AFTER MIDNIGHT
AND CONTINUE FRIDAY MORNING ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS OF EAST CENTRAL
AND NORTHEAST TENNESSEE. LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATION CAN BE EXPECTED

TONIGHT TO NOON EST FRIDAY.

* EVENT...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE TO THREE INCHES.

* TIMING...RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW AFTER MIDNIGHT AND CONTINUE
