* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Cumberland County in middle Tennessee...
  De Kalb County in middle Tennessee...
  Putnam County in middle Tennessee...
  Southeastern Smith County in middle Tennessee...
  Northern Van Buren County in middle Tennessee...
  Northeastern Warren County in middle Tennessee...
  White County in middle Tennessee...

* Until 430 AM CDT.

* At 1037 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain continue to cause Flash Flooding across the warned
  area. As much as 2 to 3 inches of rain has fallen this evening,
  with additional rainfall and intense rainfall rates expected
  overnight.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas, and low water
           crossings.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Cookeville, Crossville, Sparta, Smithville, Spencer, Fairfield
  Glade, Algood, Monterey, Baxter, Crab Orchard, Pleasant Hill,
  Doyle, Virgin Falls State Natural Area, Hamptons Crossroads,
  Bakers Crossroads, Indian Rock Lake, Burgess Falls State Park,
  Lake Tansi, Cumberland Mountain State Park and Rock Island State
  Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following
  counties, Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland,
  Davidson, De Kalb, Dickson, Fentress, Grundy, Hickman, Houston,
  Humphreys, Jackson, Lewis, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Montgomery,
  Overton, Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith,
  Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren, White, Williamson
  and Wilson.

* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall can be expected through
    tonight. This will lead to instances of flash flooding across
    the area.
