THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST NORTH
CAROLINA...EAST TENNESSEE AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

A STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING A MIXED BAG OF PRECIPITATION TO THE
AREA LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO EARLY MONDAY...WITH THE MAIN IMPACTS
ACROSS THE NORTHERN VALLEY...NORTHERN CUMBERLAND PLATEAU...SMOKY
MOUNTAINS...NORTHEAST TENNESSEE...AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA. SNOW IS
EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FALLING LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT ACROSS
THE AREA. THE SNOW WILL GRADUALLY MIX WITH AND CHANGE TO SLEET AND
RAIN OVERNIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING. SOME POCKETS OF FREEZING RAIN
WILL BE POSSIBLE AS WELL. THE PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO BE ALL
RAIN BY MONDAY AFTERNOON.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...

THE STORM SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE REGION MONDAY WITH THE
WINTER TYPE PRECIPITATION CHANGING TO ALL RAIN IN THE AFTERNOON.
HEAVY RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE LATE MONDAY INTO MONDAY NIGHT...WHICH
MAY CAUSE SOME FLOODING OF NORMALLY FLOOD PRONE AREAS. IN
ADDITION...WINDS WILL BECOME STRONG AND GUSTY OVER SOME THE HIGHER
ELEVATIONS OF EAST TENNESSEE MONDAY INTO MONDAY NIGHT. ANOTHER FAST
MOVING SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION LATE TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY
MORNING. HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA AND EAST TENNESSEE
MAY SEE A FEW INCHES OF SNOW OVERNIGHT TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING.

  EXPECTED...WITH 3 TO 6 INCHES POSSIBLE ACROSS SOME HIGHER
  ELEVATION AREAS OF SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA. IN ADDITION...A FEW AREAS
  MAY SEE SOME FREEZING RAIN WITH ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF LESS THAN A
  TENTH OF AN INCH.

* TIMING...SNOW THIS AFTERNOON WILL GRADUALLY TRANSITION TO A MIX
  OF SNOW...SLEET...FREEZING RAIN AND RAIN TONIGHT AND MONDAY
  MORNING BEFORE CHANGING TO ALL RAIN MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...SNOW AND ICE WILL MAKE DRIVING CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS.
