THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST NORTH
CAROLINA...EAST TENNESSEE AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT...

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL TRACK NORTHEAST NEAR THE EAST COAST
TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY...SPREADING MOSTLY LIGHT RAIN ACROSS THE
LOWER ELEVATIONS AND SOME LIGHT SNOWFALL FOR HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF
THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIANS.

THE BEST CHANCES LOCALLY FOR A LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATION OF
GENERALLY 1 TO 4 INCHES...WILL BE ACROSS THE SMOKY MOUNTAINS AND
NORTHERN MOUNTAINS OF EAST TENNESSEE...AND ALSO THE HIGHER TERRAIN
OF SOUTHWESTERN VIRGINIA.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...

LIGHT SNOW MAY ACCUMULATE OVER THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS THROUGH NOON
WEDNESDAY...THEN END OR CHANGE TO LIGHT RAIN. ANOTHER SYSTEM WILL
COME THROUGH OVERNIGHT WEDNESDAY AND COULD LEAD TO ANOTHER ROUND OF
SNOW FOR THE SMOKY MOUNTIANS AND HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF NORTHEAST
TENNESSEE AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA. SOME PLACES COULD SEE AN
ADDITIONAL 1 TO 3 INCHES BEFORE THE SYSTEM LEAVES EARLY FRIDAY
MORNING.

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED TO REPORT SNOWFALL IN THE HIGHER
ELEVATIONS WEDNESDAY.
