...SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM EXPECTED ACROSS A LARGE PORTION OF
THE MIDSOUTH WEDNESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

.AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL SURGE ACROSS THE REGION TOMORROW...
WITH FALLING TEMPERATURES THROUGHOUT THE DAY. THIS WILL ALLOW
RAIN TO CHANGEOVER TO FREEZING RAIN...SLEET...AND SNOW IN MANY
AREAS BEFORE COMING TO AN END MIDDAY THURSDAY. SIGNIFICANT
ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOW...SLEET...AND ICE ARE LIKELY. IN ADDITION
STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS WILL CREATE WINDCHILLS INTO THE SINGLE
DIGITS AND LOW TEENS ABOVE ZERO...AND MAY AID IN SPORADIC POWER
OUTAGES WHERE HEAVIER AMOUNTS OF FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET FALL.

  INCHES...SLEET ACCUMULATIONS OF 0.5 TO 2.5 INCHES...AND ICE
  ACCUMULATIONS OF A QUARTER OF AN INCH ARE EXPECTED.

* TIMING...12 PM CST WEDNESDAY TO MIDDAY THURSDAY.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BECOME HAZARDOUS. SPORADIC POWER OUTAGES
  WILL BE POSSIBLE.

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT ACROSS THE BOOTHEEL OF MISSOURI
AND NORTHWEST TENNESSEE TONIGHT. PROLONGED PERIODS OF HEAVY
RAINFALL ARE POSSIBLE ALONG AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT ACROSS THE BOOTHEEL OF MISSOURI
AND NORTHWEST TENNESSEE THROUGH NOON WEDNESDAY. PERIODS OF HEAVY
RAINFALL ARE POSSIBLE ALONG ARCTIC COLD FRONT. ELSEWHERE MORE
LOCALIZED FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE.

A WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT WEDNESDAY THROUGH MIDDAY
THURSDAY NORTH NORTH OF A CLARKSDALE MISSISSIPPI TO A SAVANNAH
TENNESSEE LINE. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF ICE...SLEET AND SNOW ARE
EXPECTED.

A WINTER STORM WATCH IS STILL IN EFFECT FOR A LARGE PORTION OF
NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH
MIDDAY THURSDAY.

A WIND ADVISORY MAY BE NEEDED WEDNESDAY EVENING AND OVERNIGHT
ALONG AND WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER. STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS
WILL GUST TO NEAR 40 MPH.

A WINDCHILL ADVISORY MAY BE NEEDED ACROSS A LARGE PORTION OF THE
MIDSOUTH THURSDAY NIGHT.
