...A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH
SATURDAY MORNING ALONG AND NORTH OF A GOLDTHWAITE...TO
HILLSBORO... TO ATHENS LINE...

.SEVERAL UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES WILL WORK UPON A VERY MOIST AND
UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE TODAY INTO THE EARLY PART OF THE WEEKEND.
SOILS ACROSS THE WATCH AREA CONTINUE TO REMAIN SATURATED FOR THE
MOST PART. IN ADDITION...MANY RIVERS AND LAKES ARE AT CAPACITY OR
ARE CURRENTLY IN FLOOD. ANY ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL WILL RUNOFF
QUICKLY AND CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OR AGGRAVATE ONGOING RIVER
FLOODING.

  HILL...HOOD...HUNT...JACK...JOHNSON...KAUFMAN...MILLS...

* SOILS ARE SATURATED ACROSS THE WATCH AREA. ANY ADDITIONAL
  HEAVY RAIN WILL RUNOFF QUICKLY AND RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING.
  IN ADDITION...HEAVY RAINS WILL ONLY AGGRAVATE ONGOING RIVER
  AND LAKE FLOODING ACROSS THE AREA.

* At 0200 PM Thursday the stage was 35.33 feet.
* Flood stage is 30 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to a crest near 36 feet
  by Friday evening then begin falling but remain above flood stage.

* Flood stage is 8 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.

* At 8 feet, Minor flooding will occur downstream from the gage.

CHANCES GENERALLY ALONG AND WEST OF THE I-35 CORRIDOR. SOME OF THE
STORMS MAY BE SEVERE WITH LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS...AND
TORNADOES. ANY ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL COULD RESULT IN FLOODING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
DAILY THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL CONTINUE INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK...
WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE WEATHER EACH DAY. THE HIGHEST RAIN
CHANCES WILL BE THURSDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY...WHEN WIDESPREAD
HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLASH FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE. THUNDERSTORM
