...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 AM CDT
FOR NORTHERN TAYLOR COUNTY...

At 1048 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Camp Butman,
or 7 miles northwest of Coronados Camp, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

This severe storm will be near...
  Merkel around 1055 AM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Camp
Butman.

This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 265 and 271.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN NOLAN AND WEST
CENTRAL TAYLOR COUNTIES THROUGH 1115 AM CDT...

At 1024 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Hylton, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Nolan, Hylton, Coronados Camp, Camp Butman, and Shep.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of west central
Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and evening.
Large to very large hail, damaging wind gusts, and an isolated
tornado are the main hazards. Locally heavy rainfall may also
result in localized flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

High temperatures this weekend through the first half of next week
will warm to near 100 degrees across much of the area. These
temperatures, combined with low level moisture will result in
potentially dangerous heat index values. These conditions could
lead to heat-related illnesses such as heatstroke or heat
exhaustion.

Spotter activation will likely be requested this afternoon and
evening.
