There is a conditional severe threat early this evening across western portions of Central Texas. A few isolated storms may develop with a large hail and damaging wind threat. Later in the evening, isolated storms may impact portions of Northeast Texas. The strongest of these storms may produce hail and strong winds. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. There is a chance of storms Wednesday afternoon and evening mainly along and east of I-35. For Thursday afternoon and evening, storms will be primarily along and south of the I-20 corridor. While large hail and damaging wind gusts will continue to be the main threats, heavy rainfall could reaggravate flooding issues, especially over areas that are saturated from recent rainfall. Storm chances will return early next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time. $$

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Trinity River near Long Lake (Oakwood).
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 40.0 feet, Moderate flooding of ranches along the
river is expected. The Coffield Unit prison farm and adjacent
ranch lands will be moderately flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 43.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 35.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 35.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest near 44.5
feet Thursday morning.
