...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...

  Navasota River near Normangee affecting Brazos, Madison and
  Grimes Counties.

For the Navasota River...including Normangee...Major flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
  This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Navasota River near Normangee.

* WHEN...Until early Thursday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 25.1 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 PM CDT Friday was 25.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.9
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage early Wednesday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Flood History...No available flood history.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM CDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
  counties, Brazos, Chambers, Grimes, Harris, Houston, Liberty,
  Madison, Montgomery, Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker and Waller.

* WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is occurring. Several structures are
  flooded in the most impacted locations. Numerous roads remain
  closed due to flooding. Multiple water rescues are being reported.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 559 PM CDT, Flooding is being reported in numerous
    locations throughout the warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Northwestern Pasadena, northern Baytown, Conroe, Huntsville,
    Deer Park, Humble, Galena Park, Tomball, Jacinto City,
    Liberty, Cleveland, Dayton, Willis, Livingston, Madisonville,
    Beach City, Pinehurst, The Woodlands, Spring and Kingwood.

...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
  areas, Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Coastal Harris, Grimes,
  Houston, Inland Harris, Madison, Montgomery, Northern Liberty,
  Polk, San Jacinto, Southern Liberty, Trinity, Walker, Waller and
  Washington.

* WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff has resulted in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Additional flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
  Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive river flooding is
  ongoing and additional street flooding remains possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - A lull in activity is expected tonight into tomorrow;
    however, any rainfall that occurs during the overnight hours
    may contribute to the ongoing flooding. The primary focus is
    for late Saturday night into Sunday with the potential for
    additional heavy rainfall. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches
    with isolated higher amounts will be possible Saturday night
    into Sunday.
