THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED OFFSHORE AND NEAR
THE COAST. SOME STRONGER STORMS MAY PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL WITH RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES AN HOUR.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH LABOR DAY WEEKEND.
THE MAIN THREATS WILL BE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND LIGHTNING.
STREET FLOODING MAY OCCUR IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.

WINDS...SEAS...AND TIDE LEVELS WILL RUN NEAR TO SLIGHTLY ABOVE
NORMAL THROUGH THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. THOSE HEADED TO THE BEACH
SHOULD SWIM NEAR A LIFEGUARD AND AWAY FROM JETTIES AND PIERS WHERE
RIP CURRENTS WILL BE STRONGER. ALSO DO NOT SWIM ALONG THE ENDS OF
GALVESTON ISLAND...THE SHIP CHANNEL ENTRANCE AND SAN LUIS PASS
WHERE TIDAL CURRENTS ARE ALWAYS DANGEROUS.
