Heat index values will be high through early this evening. Make

heat.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

On Friday and Saturday, heat index values might have the potential to
rise toward heat advisory levels. Continue to make sure precautions
are taken to keep people and pets safe. Slightly lower temperatures
are expected Sunday through Wednesday.

...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

At 353 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
eastern Houston Ship Channel, or over Channelview. This storm was
nearly stationary.

Winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Pasadena, northwestern Baytown, Deer Park, South Houston, Galena
Park, Jacinto City, Cloverleaf, Highlands, Channelview, Barrett,
Morgan`s Point, Northshore, Houston Ship Channel, San Jacinto State
Park, Hunterwood, Edgebrook Area, Sheldon, El Dorado / Oates Prairie,
Meadowbrook / Allendale and East Houston.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
