...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING
FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONE 495...

* AFFECTED AREA...FIRE WEATHER ZONE 495 COLOR COUNTRY WEST
  DESERT.

* WINDS...SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO
  35 MPH WILL CONTINUE INTO THE EVENING HOURS BEFORE DIMINISHING.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...6 TO 12 PERCENT RANGE BY EARLY AND NOT
  RECOVERING ABOVE 15 PERCENT UNTIL MID TO LATE EVENING.

* IMPACTS...COMBINATION OF LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND GUSTY WINDS
  WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THROUGH THIS
  EVENING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE WESTERN TWO THIRDS OF
UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

GUSTY SOUTH WINDS COMBINED WITH LOW HUMIDITY WILL RESULT IN
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING
ACROSS WEST CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST UTAH.

MONSOON MOISTURE ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL UTAH WILL
BRING A CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS
AFTERNOON...MAINLY ALONG AND EAST OF I-15. DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING...STRONG GUSTY WINDS...AND BRIEF HEAVY RAIN CAN BE
EXPECTED WITH ANY STORMS WHICH DEVELOP.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

MOISTURE WILL SLOWLY SPREAD NORTHWARD SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY ACROSS
THE REMAINDER OF THE OUTLOOK AREA...BRINGING AN INCREASED THREAT
FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AREAWIDE INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK...WITH
AN INCREASING RISK OF HEAVY RAINFALL AND LOCAL FLASH FLOODING.
