   WIND CHILL ADVISORY.

WIND CHILL VALUES AS COLD AS 5 BELOW TO 15 BELOW ZERO ARE EXPECTED
WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

A BITTER COLD ARCTIC AIR MASS WILL SETTLE OVER THE REGION DURING
THE WEEKEND BRINGING TEMPERATURES TO NEAR FIVE ABOVE ZERO AND
WIND CHILLS TO AS LOW AS 10 TO 15 BELOW ZERO. A WIND CHILL
ADVISORY WILL LIKELY BE NEEDED FOR THIS TIME FRAME.

FINALLY...THERE IS AN INCREASING THREAT FOR A MORE SIGNIFICANT
WINTER STORM MONDAY INTO TUESDAY WITH SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW
POSSIBLE.

.VERY COLD AIR WILL PREVAIL ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH THE END OF
THE WEEK. MOISTURE COMBINED WITH NORTHWEST WINDS WILL RESULT IN
PERIODS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW SHOWERS THROUGH LATE TONIGHT
ALONG THE WESTERN SLOPES OF THE APPALACHIANS. IN ADDITION... WIND
CHILLS WILL DROP WELL BELOW ZERO...ESPECIALLY TONIGHT INTO
THURSDAY MORNING. SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW WILL ALSO BE
POSSIBLE.

* WIND CHILL READINGS...LESS THAN 5 DEGREES BELOW ZERO.

* TIMING...TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...WIND CHILL VALUES OF LESS THAN 5
  DEGREES BELOW ZERO WILL MAKE IT DANGEROUS TO BE OUTSIDE.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST WINDS 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...LOWS TONIGHT FROM 7 TO THE TEENS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN
FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
