WESTERN VIRGINIA...NORTHWESTERN WARREN...WEST CENTRAL CLARKE AND
NORTHWESTERN PAGE COUNTIES IN NORTHWESTERN VIRGINIA...EASTERN HARDY
AND SOUTHEASTERN HAMPSHIRE COUNTIES IN EASTERN WEST VIRGINIA...THE
CITY OF HARRISONBURG AND THE SOUTHWESTERN CITY OF WINCHESTER...

At 156 AM EDT, radar indicated showers were located along a line
extending from 6 miles north of Wardensville to 9 miles southeast of
Brandywine. Movement was east at 35 mph.

Gusts of 40 to 50 mph are possible with these showers.

Locally heavy rainfall can be expected.

Locations impacted include...
Harrisonburg, Winchester, Strasburg, Woodstock, Millwood Pike,
Bridgewater, Broadway, Timberville, Mount Jackson, Stephens City,
Wardensville, Dale Enterprise, Basye-Bryce Mountain, Mathias, Star
Tannery, New Market, Dayton, Middletown, Basye and Edinburg.

Locally heavy rainfall is also occurring with these showers, and may
cause ponding of water on roadways and cause small streams to go out
of their banks. Be alert for standing water and hydroplaning.

northern and central Virginia, and central and western Maryland
with the exception of Garrett County.

Periods of showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight. Heavy
rain capable of producing localized flooding is possible. There
is also the potential for isolated severe thunderstorms tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Periods of showers and thunderstorms are expected into Saturday.
Heavy rain, capable of producing localized flooding is possible
into Saturday morning.
