NORTHERN AND CENTRAL VIRGINIA...AND CENTRAL AND WESTERN MARYLAND
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF GARRETT COUNTY.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE INTERSTATE 81
CORRIDOR AND THE FOOTHILLS OF THE BLUE RIDGE THROUGH 9 AM.

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDESTORMS WILL DEVELOP LATE TODAY INTO
THIS EVENING. A FEW OF THESE STORMS MAY BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND PERHAPS SOME LARGE HAIL. IN ADDITION...
HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE LIKELY...WHICH MAY RESULT IN LOCALIZED
FLOODING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN...WILL
DEVELOP AGAIN LATE FRIDAY...CONTINUING INTO FRIDAY NIGHT.
LOCALIZED FLOODING MAY RESULT.

BLUE RIDGE AND FOOTHILLS...PIEDMONT...AND THE NORTHERN SHENANDOAH
VALLEY...INCLUDING PORTIONS OF THE EASTERN WEST VIRGINIA PANHANDLE
THIS MORNING. VISIBILITIES WILL BE REDUCED TO AROUND ONE QUARTER
MILE AT TIMES...CREATING HAZARDOUS TRAVEL.

MOTORISTS...INCLUDING THOSE TRAVELING INTERSTATE 81 AND 64 AND
LOCAL HIGHWAYS ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE NORTHERN VIRGINIA...SHOULD
REDUCE SPEED AND USE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS TO BE SEEN BETTER BY
OTHER MOTORISTS. THE FOG SHOULD LIFT BETWEEN 8 AM AND 9 AM THIS
MORNING.
