THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE MARYLAND PORTION OF THE
CHESAPEAKE BAY...TIDAL POTOMAC RIVER...AND ADJACENT COUNTIES IN
CENTRAL MARYLAND AND NORTHERN VIRGINIA AS WELL AS THE DISTRICT OF
COLUMBIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT THIS EVENING THROUGH TONIGHT FOR THE
INTERSTATE 95 CORRIDOR AND WEST. MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL WILL
OVERSPREAD THE REGION LATE THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT.
FLOODING OF LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS IS POSSIBLE.

GUSTY SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED LATE TONIGHT
OVER SOUTHERN MARYLAND PORTIONS OF THE WATERS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUE INTO MONDAY MORNING FOR THE BALTIMORE-
WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN AREA.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING AHEAD OF A
COLD FRONT. A FEW OF THE THUNDERSTORMS MAY BECOME SEVERE WITH A
THREAT OF DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND LARGE HAIL.

  EVENING THROUGH TONIGHT...ENDING BY THE MIDDLE MORNING FOR THE
  BALTIMORE METRO AREA. RAINFALL TOTALS AROUND ONE AND A HALF
  INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE GREATER BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON
  METRO AREA. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE... ESPECIALLY
  ALONG AND IMMEDIATELY EAST OF THE BLUE RIDGE/CATOCTIN MOUNTAIN.

* EXPECT SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS TO RISE...POSSIBLY OVERFLOWING
  THEIR BANKS. IN ADDITION...FLOODING MAY OCCUR IN LOW LYING AND
  POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

PLEASE MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE FLOOD
WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.
