This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through
central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

A Coastal Flood Warning goes into effect for St. Mary`s County
at 8 PM this evening, and for Anne Arundel County at 11 PM this
evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Moderate tidal flooding is also possible along the shoreline of
St. Marys and Anne Arundel Counties during the high tide cycle
late Sunday night into Monday morning.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM EDT
SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level
  expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.

* WHERE...Shoreline in the District of Columbia, Arlington
  County, and the City of Alexandria.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM EDT Sunday, especially around the time of
  high tide.

* IMPACTS...Shoreline inundation is expected along portions of
  the seawall adjacent to Ohio Drive and the Hains Point Loop Road
  and near the Tidal Basin. Water is expected to approach the
  curb near the intersection of King Street and Strand Street in
  Alexandria.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one and a half to two feet above
  normal. The next high tides at Alexandria are 6:02 PM and 6:27
  AM. The next high tides at Washington Channel are 5:44 PM and
  6:09 AM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
