* PRECIPITATION TYPE...SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...1 TO 3 INCHES. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS OVER 3
  INCHES IN THE WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN AREA.

* TIMING...THROUGH MID-MORNING.

* TEMPERATURES...MID TO UPPER 20S.

* WINDS...NORTH 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

* IMPACTS...ROADS WILL BE SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY WITH
  VISIBILITIES BEING REDUCED BELOW ONE-HALF MILE AT TIMES IN
  BLOWING SNOW. THE COMBINATION OF SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LOW
  VISIBILITY WILL MAKE TRAVELING DANGEROUS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE

TO DEVELOP AND IMPACT PORTIONS OF THE BALTIMORE AND WASHINGTON DC
METRO AREAS...CENTRAL AND NORTHERN VIRGINIA AND THE SHENANDOAH
VALLEY. ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE HALF TO ONE INCH
WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH ANY BURSTS OF MODERATE SNOW. VISIBILTIIES
MAY ALSO BE REDUCED BRIEFLY TO BELOW ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES.
TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN IN THE 20S IN MOST LOCATIONS AND ANY FALLING
SNOW WILL MAKE ROADWAYS...BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES SLIPPERY THIS
MORNING. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO DRIVE WITH CAUTION.
