...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON...

* LOCATION: WESTERN SHORE OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY INCLUDING THE NORTHERN NECK
  AND MIDDLESEX COUNTY.

* TIMING: MODERATE FLOODING EXPECTED WITHIN A FEW HOURS EITHER SIDE OF THE
  UPCOMING HIGH CYCLE THIS AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS: INUNDATION OF WATER IN AND NEAR LOW-LYING TIDAL AREAS WILL LEAD TO
  ROAD CLOSURES AND FLOODING OF PROPERTY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT. COASTAL
RESIDENTS IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD BE ALERT FOR RISING WATER...AND TAKE
APPROPRIATE ACTION TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. IN ADDITION...THE COMBINATION
OF HIGH WATER AND HIGH WAVES WILL RESULT IN BEACH EROSION...AND DAMAGE TO DOCKS
AND PIERS IN LOCATIONS EXPOSED TO HIGH WATER AND WAVE ACTION.

ALL TIDE HEIGHTS ARE RELATIVE TO MEAN LOWER LOW WATER.
TIME OF THE HIGH TOTAL TIDES ARE APPROXIMATE TO THE NEAREST HOUR.
