CORRECTED HEADLINE FOR THE CENTRAL OREGON COAST SEGMENT

...SIGNIFICANT WINTER WEATHER EXPECTED OVER MUCH OF SOUTHWEST
WASHINGTON AND NORTHWEST OREGON THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT...

.AN UNUSUALLY STRONG WINTER STORM WILL BRING MIXED PRECIPITATION
ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON AND NORTHWEST OREGON THAT
WILL HAVE SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS SPREADING NORTH OVER THE AREA
THURSDAY...CONTINUING IN THE NORTHERN AREAS INTO THURSDAY NIGHT
AND INTO THE COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE INTO FRIDAY. THIS IS THE
STRONGEST STORM OF THIS TYPE IN QUITE A WHILE.

FRIDAY FOR THE SOUTH WASHINGTON CASCADES FOR THE SOUTH WASHINGTON
CASCADES...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PORTLAND HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM THURSDAY TO 4 PM PST
FRIDAY.

* TIMING...BEGINNING MID MORNING THURSDAY AND CONTINUING THROUGH
  FRIDAY. THE BULK OF THIS EVENT MAY BE SNOW...WITH SLEET OR
  FREEZING RAIN SLOWLY SPREADING IN THURSDAY NIGHT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...10 TO 18 INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE
  THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...ONE TWO TO TENTHS OF AN INCH OF ICE ARE
  POSSIBLE MAINLY THURSDAY NIGHT.

* SNOW LEVELS...SNOW LEVELS WILL SLOWLY RISE THURSDAY NIGHT AND
  FRIDAY...POSSIBLY REACHING 1500 TO 2500 FEET FRIDAY.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT AS ROADS BECOME SNOW
  COVERED AND ICY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW, SLEET,
AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE.
THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.
