NORTHERN OREGON CASCADES-CASCADES IN LANE COUNTY-
SOUTH WASHINGTON CASCADES-
INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...GOVERNMENT CAMP...DETROIT...
SANTIAM PASS...MCKENZIE PASS...MCKENZIE BRIDGE...OAKRIDGE...
WILLAMETTE PASS...COLDWATER RIDGE VISITORS CENTER...
MOUNT ST. HELENS...WIND RIVER VALLEY

...ACCUMULATING SNOW IN THE CASCADES THROUGH SATURDAY...

A COOL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO BRING SNOW SHOWERS TO
THE CASCADES THROUGH SATURDAY...BRINGING A FEW ADDITIONAL INCHES
OF SNOW ACCUMULATION.

SNOW LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO HOVER AROUND 3000 FEET IN THE SOUTH
WASHINGTON AND NORTH OREGON CASCADES...AND CLOSER TO 4000 FEET IN
THE LANE COUNTY CASCADES.

THIS ROUND OF SPRING SNOW BEGAN THURSDAY AS GULF OF ALASKA COLD
FRONT PUSHED THROUGH THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. THE CASCADES HAVE
ALREADY RECEIVED 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW THURSDAY AND THURSDAY
NIGHT...AND AN ADDITIONAL 3 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW ARE POSSIBLE BY
THE TIME SNOW SHOWERS COME TO AN END SATURDAY EVENING.

SNOW LEVELS ARE LOW ENOUGH TO AFFECT THE CASCADE PASSES...WITH
SNOW MOST LIKELY TO ACCUMULATE ON THE ROADS THIS MORNING AND AGAIN
TONIGHT AND SATURDAY MORNING.

THOSE PLANNING A TRIP ACROSS THE CASCADES SHOULD CARRY CHAINS AND
BE PREPARED FOR WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS.
