FOR THE FOLLOWING RIVERS IN WASHINGTON...

  TOLT RIVER NEAR CARNATION AFFECTING KING COUNTY.
  SNOQUALMIE RIVER NEAR THE FALLS AFFECTING KING COUNTY.
  SNOQUALMIE RIVER NEAR CARNATION AFFECTING KING COUNTY.

HEAVY RAIN IN THE CASCADES WILL DRIVE THE TOLT AND SNOQUALMIE RIVERS
ABOVE FLOOD STAGE. FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO BE MINOR.

DO NOT DRIVE CARS...VANS...OR TRUCKS THROUGH FLOODED AREAS...THIS IS

  THE SNOQUALMIE RIVER NEAR THE FALLS
* FROM THIS EVENING TO SATURDAY MORNING.
* AT 10:30 AM FRIDAY THE FLOW WAS 15835 CFS.
* FLOOD FLOW IS 20000 CFS.
* MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER WILL RISE ABOVE FLOOD FLOW AROUND 6 PM FRIDAY
  AND CREST NEAR 21231 CFS AROUND 10 PM FRIDAY. THE RIVER WILL FALL
  BELOW FLOOD FLOW TONIGHT.
* IMPACT...AT 20000 CFS...THE SNOQUALMIE RIVER WILL CAUSE WIDESPREAD
  FLOODING OF PASTURE LANDS AND ROADS ALONG THE RIVER FROM THE TOWN
  OF SNOQUALMIE DOWNSTREAM THROUGH FALL CITY. ROADS THAT MAY BECOME
  FLOODED INCLUDE FALL CITY-CARNATION...TOLT HILL...AND NOVELTY FLATS
  ROADS. THIS RIVER LEVEL ON THE SNOQUALMIE CORRESPONDS ROUGHLY TO A
  PHASE 3 FLOOD IN THE KING COUNTY FLOOD SYSTEM.

* FROM THIS EVENING TO LATE SATURDAY NIGHT.
* AT 10:30 AM FRIDAY THE STAGE WAS 52.8 FEET.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 54.0 FEET.
* MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER WILL RISE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE AROUND 7 PM FRIDAY
  AND CREST NEAR 55.6 FEET AROUND 4 AM SATURDAY. THE RIVER WILL FALL
  BELOW FLOOD STAGE SATURDAY EARLY AFTERNOON.
* IMPACT...AT 54.0 FEET...THE SNOQUALMIE RIVER WILL FLOOD MUCH OF THE
  FARM LAND AND SEVERAL ROADS FROM FALL CITY DOWNSTREAM THROUGH
  CARNATION AND DUVALL.

* AT 10:15 AM FRIDAY THE FLOW WAS 4350 CFS.
* FLOOD FLOW IS 5000 CFS.
* MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER WILL RISE ABOVE FLOOD FLOW AROUND 1 PM FRIDAY
  AND CREST NEAR 5627 CFS AROUND 4 PM FRIDAY. THE RIVER WILL FALL
  BELOW FLOOD FLOW THIS EVENING.
* IMPACT...AT 5000 CFS...THE TOLT RIVER WILL FLOOD TOLT RIVER RD NE
  AND MANY DRIVEWAYS. SOME HOMES IN THE SAN SOUCI AREA COULD BE
  INACCESSIBLE DUE TO DEEP AND QUICK FLOOD WATERS. THIS RIVER LEVEL
  ON THE TOLT CORRESPONDS TO A PHASE 3 FLOOD IN THE KING COUNTY FLOOD
  SYSTEM.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON...

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF WESTERN WASHINGTON...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
  COUNTIES... SKAGIT...KING...LEWIS...MASON...PIERCE...
  SNOHOMISH...THURSTON.

* THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON

* HEAVY RAIN WILL OVER ACROSS WESTERN WASHINGTON TODAY AS A
  STRONG COLD FRONT MOVES SOUTH THROUGH THE AREA. THE FRONTAL BAND
  WILL BRING 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN TO THE WEST SLOPES OF THE
  CASCADES TODAY AS IT MOVES THROUGH. THE SNOW LEVEL WILL BE
  AROUND 5000 TO 6500 FEET AHEAD OF THE COLD FRONT...FALLING
  QUICKLY TO AROUND 2500 FEET IN ITS WAKE.

* MANY RIVERS FLOWING OFF THE WEST SLOPES OF THE CASCADES ARE
  RUNNING HIGH...ESPECIALLY FROM KING COUNTY NORTHWARD. THE
  ADDITIONAL RAIN TODAY COULD DRIVE SOME OF THEM ABOVE FLOOD
  STAGE. WHERE FLOODING DOES OCCUR...IT IS EXPECTED TO BE
  RELATIVELY MINOR.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLOODING IS POSSIBLE BUT NOT OCCURRING.
MONITOR THE WEATHER AND BE READY TO ACT QUICKLY IF FLOODING IS
OBSERVED OR FLOOD WARNINGS ARE ISSUED.
