...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL JIM HOGG AND BROOKS
COUNTIES THROUGH 1030 PM CDT...

At 1002 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles north of Agua Nueva, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Falfurrias, Hebbronville, Falfurrias Junior High School, Las Lomitas,
Gruy Stadium, Jim Hogg County Airport, Hebbronville High School,
South Fork Estates, Hebbronville Border Patrol Station, and Cantu
Addition.

This includes US Highway 281 between mile markers 712 and 726.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
Deep South Texas.

NORTHEASTERN HIDALGO...NORTHEASTERN STARR...SOUTHEASTERN BROOKS AND
NORTHWESTERN WILLACY COUNTIES THROUGH 1030 PM CDT...

At 1000 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles east of Puerto Rico, or 7 miles northwest of San Manuel, moving
northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Linn, Encino, San Manuel, Rachal, El Coyote Ranch Airport, and Puerto
Rico.

This includes US Highway 281 between mile markers 728 and 760.

At 958 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Hackberry Park, or over Pharr, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Edinburg, Mission, Pharr, Weslaco, San Juan, Alamo, Donna, Mercedes,
Hidalgo, and Elsa.

This includes the following highways...
 US Highway 83 near mile marker 850.
 Interstate Highway 69 C between mile markers 1 and 12.
 US Highway 281 between mile markers 784 and 810.
