The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has extended the

* Flood Advisory for...
  Rain and Snowmelt in...
  Tetlin Village Road...

* Until 430 PM AKDT Friday

* Flooding continues at mile 5.3 of the Tetlin Village Road with the
  road remaining impassible to vehicles. The flooding is caused by
  high water on the Tanana River that is flowing into low areas
  along the Tetlin Village Road.

* Flood waters remain in the forest along the Alaska Highway from
  Milepost 1305 to 1307. Water is flowing freely through the
  culverts under the road. There are no impacts to the Alaska
  highway at this time.

* Water levels on the Tanana River are falling and floodwaters are
  expected to continue to recede this week. It may take many days or
  longer for the water to fall low enough to make the Tetlin Road

Residents should use caution while traveling in these areas and
avoid driving into areas where the water is covering the road.
