SNOW WILL INCREASE IN INTENSITY THIS EVENING AS ENHANCEMENT OCCURS
OFF LAKE MICHIGAN AND A LAKE EFFECT SNOW BAND MOVES INTO THE AREA. 1
TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED FROM ESCANABA THROUGH
GARDEN CORNERS...TO MANISTIQUE...GERMFASK AND NEWBERRY THROUGH
TONIGHT...WITH ISOLATED AMOUNTS UP TO 4 INCHES POSSIBLE.

SNOW WILL TRANSITION TO FREEZING RAIN LATE TONIGHT INTO
SATURDAY...MAINLY ACCUMULATING ON UNTREATED ROADS AND
SIDEWALKS AS PAVEMENT TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN BELOW FREEZING. WHILE
EXACT ICE ACCUMULATIONS ARE UNCERTAIN...EVEN A THIN ICE COATING WILL
MAKE TRAVEL HAZARDOUS. USE CAUTION AND BE PREPARED TO ENCOUNTER ICY
SPOTS ON ROADS AND SIDEWALKS LATE TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY.

MICHIGAN CAN EXPECT 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW TO FALL STARTING LATE THIS
MORNING BEFORE ENDING LATER THIS EVENING. DUE TO LAKE ENHANCEMENT OFF
OF LAKE MICHIGAN...THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR 2 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW TO
FALL LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT FOR AREAS FROM ESCANABA THROUGH
GARDEN CORNERS...TO MANISTIQUE...GERMFASK AND NEWBERRY.

PEOPLE TRAVELING TODAY INTO TONIGHT ARE ENCOURAGED TO BE PREPARED
FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND TAKE A LITTLE EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR
DESTINATION.
