MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GAYLORD HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT
FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT.

* SNOW: WILL DEVELOP BY MID AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE THROUGH THE
  EVENING HOURS. THE HEAVIEST SNOW IS EXPECTED BETWEEN 3 PM AND 8
  PM.

* WIND: WINDS WILL INCREASE FROM THE SOUTHWEST AND GUST UP TO 35
  MPH.

* ACCUMULATION: TOTAL SNOWFALL OF 2 TO 5 INCHES IS EXPECTED IN THE
  ADVISORY AREA BY MONDAY MORNING.

* MAIN IMPACT...THE COMBINATION OF GUSTY WINDS AND SNOW WILL
  CREATE VISIBILITIES OF LESS THAN 1/2 MILE AT TIMES. HAZARDOUS
  TRAVEL IS EXPECTED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT
VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO STRONG WINDS BLOWING SNOW

 * SNOW WILL DEVELOP QUICKLY BY LATE SUNDAY MORNING AND FALL
   HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGH THE AFTERNOON INTO EARLY EVENING.

 * STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS FROM LATE SUNDAY MORNING
   THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING WILL RANGE FROM 3 TO 6 INCHES. THE
   HEAVIEST SNOW AMOUNTS CAN BE EXPECTED EAST OF A LINE FROM
   MANISTIQUE TO SENEY TO DEER PARK.

 * SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL GUST TO 40 MPH...ESPECIALLY NEAR LAKE
   MICHIGAN AND ALSO LAKE SUPERIOR SUNDAY AFTERNOON BEFORE
   SWITCHING TO THE NORTHWEST FOR SUNDAY EVENING.

IMPACTS...

 * THE SNOW WILL BE VERY WET AND HEAVY.

 * ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY SUNDAY AFTERNOON
   THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT.

 * THE COMBINATION OF HEAVY WET SNOW AND STRONGER WINDS COULD
   BRING DOWN SOME TREE BRANCHES.
