FOR THE FOLLOWING RIVERS IN COLORADO...

  CACHE LA POUDRE RIVER NEAR GREELEY AFFECTING WELD COUNTY.
  SOUTH PLATTE RIVER NEAR KERSEY AFFECTING WELD COUNTY.

.DUE TO HEAVY RAIN TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING AND LIGHT TO
MODERATE RAINFALL OVERNIGHT AND TODAY...THE CACHE LA POUDRE AND
SOUTH PLATTE RIVERS ARE FORECAST TO RISE ABOVE ACTION STAGE LATE
TONIGHT IN WELD COUNTY WITH WATER FLOWING INTO LOW LYING AREAS.
HOWEVER...RIVERS IN WELD COUNTY ARE FORECAST TO REMAIN BELOW FLOOD
STAGE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

PERSONS WITH INTERESTS ALONG THESE RIVERS ARE URGED TO USE CAUTION.
AVOID FLOODED AREAS AND STAY CLEAR OF RIVER BANKS THAT COULD BECOME

* IMPACT...AT 8.0 FEET...THE RIVER IS OUT OF ITS BANKS AND INTO FIELDS

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS...
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING STREAMS AND DRAINAGES...FOUNTAIN CREEK...
JIMMY CAMP CREEK...ROCK CREEK...WILLIAMS CREEK AND LITTLE FOUNTAIN
CREEK.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN
URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER
POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL
ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. IT TAKES ONLY A FEW
INCHES OF SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.
