FLOOD ADVISORY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE
748 PM CST SAT NOV 22 2014

...THE FLOOD ADVISORY CONTINUES FOR THE NORTH PLATTE RIVER AT
LEWELLEN AFFECTING GARDEN AND KEITH COUNTIES...

.ICE JAMMING AT THE INLET OF LAKE MCCONAUGHY CONTINUES TO KEEP RIVER
LEVELS HIGH IN THE LEWELLEN AREA. WARM TEMPERATURES ARE CONTRIBUTING
TO SOME BREAK-UP OF THE ICE JAM WHICH IS ALLOWING THE WATER LEVEL TO
SLOWLY DROP. THE RIVER IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO STAY NEARLY STEADY
OR SLOWLY FALL THROUGH THE FIRST PART OF THE NEXT WEEK. MINOR
FLUCTUATIONS IN THE RIVER STAGE MAY OCCUR IN THE COMING DAYS AS THE
ICE JAM BREAKS AND REFORMS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE. STAY TUNED FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS BY LISTENING TO
NOAA WEATHER RADIO, RADIO AND TELEVISION STATIONS OR ONLINE AT
WWW.WEATHER.GOV/NORTHPLATTE.
