Warm temperatures and gusty winds will produce elevated fire
danger across the plains of Colorado again today. Conditions will
be worst in areas south of Interstate 70 this afternoon.

* Timing...Fire danger will increase this morning and be extreme
  this afternoon.

* Winds...West 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Relative Humidity...as low as 12 percent.

* Impacts...Fires will ignite easily and spread rapidly due to dry
  fuels and strong winds.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

The National Weather Service in Pueblo has continued the Red Flag
Warning for gusty winds and low humidity for today. In addition,
a Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds and low humidity has been
issued for Thursday.

* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 228...229...230...231...
  232 and 233.

* Winds...West 20 to 30 gusting to 50 mph.

* Relative Humidity...7 to 12 percent.

* Impacts...Conditions will be favorable for the rapid ignition,
  growth and spread of fires.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that conditions will be favorable for
the rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires. Extreme fire
behavior will be possible. Outdoor burning or any other
activities that could ignite a wildfire should be postponed
during the hours leading up to, including and following the Red
Flag Warning.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
have a good chance of occurring. Listen for later forecasts and
possible Red Flag Warnings.
