* ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE.
  ISOLATED AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 4 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE.

* DUE TO THE VERY MOIST CONDITIONS OF THE GROUNDS AND SOILS IN
  THE AREA...RAPID FLASH FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE WHERE HEAVY
  RAINS DEVELOP.

* A SOUTHEAST TO NORTHWEST ORIENTED BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS
  PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS CENTRAL PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST
  TEXAS WILL SLOWLY SHIFT SOUTHEAST TONIGHT. HEAVY RAINFALL WILL
  CONTINUE IN THE WATCH AREA INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS.
  THEREFORE...THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH AND THREAT HAS BEEN EXTENDED.
  DUE TO THE SLOW MOVING AND TRAINING THUNDERSTORMS...A SERIOUS
  FLASH FLOOD SITUATION IS ONGOING AND WILL CONTINUE.

HEAVY RAINFALL PRODUCING UP TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR IS ONGOING
ACROSS THE COASTAL PLAINS AND THESE STORMS WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH
EAST-SOUTHEAST OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS...WITH INDIVIDUAL CELLS
GENERALLY MOVING NORTHEAST. THE RAIN IS FALLING ON ALREADY
SATURATED GROUND AND ELEVATED RIVER CHANNELS...WHICH COMBINED WITH
UPSTREAM RUNOFF FROM PREVIOUS RAINFALL...WILL LEAD TO SIGNIFICANT
FLASH FLOODING AND RIVER FLOODING CONCERNS. DRY AIR AT MIDLEVELS
WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE IN FROM THE WEST...GRADUALLY ENDING THE
HEAVY RAINFALL THREAT FROM WEST TO EAST BY 1 AM TUESDAY.

* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL
  ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS...CAUSING UP TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN PER
  HOUR IN THE COASTAL PLAINS. THE HEAVY RAINFALL THREAT WILL
  GRADUALLY END FROM WEST TO EAST THIS EVENING. RAINFALL TOTALS OF
  1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED.

* DUE TO THE VERY MOIST CONDITIONS OF THE GROUNDS AND SOILS IN THE
  AREA AND LARGE AMOUNT OF RUNOFF FROM UPSTREAM RAINFALL...RAPID
  FLASH FLOODING OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND SOME ROADWAYS WILL BE
  POSSIBLE WHERE HEAVY RAINS DEVELOP. AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS ARE
  ALSO OUT OF BANKS OR IN FLOOD. SOME OF THESE RIVERS AND STREAMS
  WILL REACH THEIR FLOOD STAGES VERY QUICKLY.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS FLASH FLOODING IS POSSIBLE IN OR NEAR
THE WATCH AREA. IF YOU ARE IN THE WATCH AREA...PLAN NOW FOR WHAT

READY TO ACT IF YOU SEE FLOODING OR IF A FLASH FLOOD WARNING IS
ISSUED.
