* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...1 TO 2 INCHES.

* IMPACTS...SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE RAPIDLY WHERE LAKE EFFECT SNOW
  BANDS PERSIST. VISIBILITY WILL BE SHARPLY REDUCED AND
  UNTREATED SURFACES WILL QUICKLY BECOME SNOW COVERED AND
  SLIPPERY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY MEANS LAKE-EFFECT SNOW COULD MAKE
TRAVEL DIFFICULT. LAKE-EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS MAY ALIGN THEMSELVES
IN BANDS AND DROP SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW IN A SHORT TIME.  USE
CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING AND REPORT SNOW ACCUMULATION TO THE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BY CALLING 412-262-1988...POSTING TO THE

* VISIBILITIES....UNDER A QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...LOCALIZED LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL RESULT IN SLIPPERY
  ROADS AND POOR VISIBILITY AT TIMES.

IN LAKE EFFECT SNOW THE WEATHER CAN VARY FROM LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW
IN NARROW BANDS TO CLEAR SKIES JUST A FEW MILES AWAY. IF YOU WILL
BE TRAVELING ACROSS THE REGION BE PREPARED FOR RAPID CHANGES IN
ROAD AND VISIBILITY CONDITIONS.
