.Southwest winds from 15 to 25 knots will occur today across
western Lake Superior. The wind will veer to west to northwest
tonight into Tuesday. The strongest wind and highest gusts will
occur on Tuesday when some gales around 35 knots will be possible.

* Sustained Winds...Southwest 20 to 25 knots becoming west to
  northwest tonight.

* Wind Gusts...Up to 30 knots with some gusts to 35 knots on
  Tuesday.

* Waves...6 to 9 feet.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.

...GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 11 PM EST TUESDAY...

A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM EST Tuesday.

* Wind and waves during the Small Craft Advisory: Expect
  sustained winds of up to 27 knots from the southwest, with
  gusts up to 34 knots. The largest expected significant waves
  will be 9 feet with a maximum wave height of up to 14 feet
  possible.

* TIMING...The maximum winds are expected around 10 PM EST
  Monday with the largest waves expected around 9 AM EST
  Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.
