...WARM AND HUMID CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST TODAY...

A COOL FRONT WILL APPROACH FROM THE NORTHWEST TODAY AND REACH
SOUTHEAST IOWA BY TONIGHT. HOWEVER...AHEAD OF THIS FRONT
TEMPERATURES WILL STILL RISE INTO THE LOWER 90S WITH VERY HUMID
CONDITIONS IN PLACE. THIS WILL RESULT IN HEAT INDEX VALUES
APPROACHING OR JUST EXCEEDING 100 DEGREES IN THE AFTERNOON. PLEASE
CONTINUE TO PRACTICE HEAT SAFETY IF ENGAGING IN OUTDOOR
ACTIVITIES. THIS INCLUDES DRINKING LOTS OF WATER...STAYING IN THE
SHADE WHEN POSSIBLE...AND TAKING BREAKS TO REST.
