...Strong Winds Through Mid Evening...

A strong northwest wind will continue this evening, sustained at
25 to 35 mph, and gusting to 45 mph at times, and creating
difficult driving conditions. Winds are expected to decrease
slowly after 6 PM.

...Gusty Winds Through This Evening...

Gusty west northwest winds will continue to increase across
portions of east central Illinois and northwest Indiana into this
evening. The strongest speeds of 20 to 30 MPH with gusts up to
around 40 MPH will likely last through mid to late evening, before
diminishing during the overnight hours. With the strongest winds
this evening, brief and isolated gusts up to 45 MPH will also be
possible. Those traveling this evening should use caution, as
travel may be hazardous, especially for high profile vehicles.
