  THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL ROOSEVELT COUNTY
  PRODUCING AREAS OF HEAVY RAIN. RADAR ESTIMATED BETWEEN 1 TO 2
  INCHES OF RAINFALL HAS FALLEN OVER RURAL SOUTHWESTERN ROOSEVELT
  COUNTY. STORM COVERAGE IS EXPECTED TO FILL IN ACROSS THE
  AREA...WITH ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS UP TO 1 INCH IN THE NEXT
  HOUR.

* STRONG FLOWS AND HIGH WATER LEVELS ARE EXPECTED IN ARROYOS...SMALL
  STREAMS AND OVER LOW WATER CROSSINGS. RAPID RUNOFF CAN ALSO BE

* AT 216 AM MDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THAT WIDESPREAD HEAVY RAIN HAD ENDED IN THE ROSWELL AREA BUT
  ISOLATED POCKETS OF HEAVY RAIN ARE LIKELY THROUGH THE REMAINDER
  OF THE PRE DAWN HOURS....MAINLY WEST OF ROSWELL TO INCLUDE
  THE HEADWATERS OF BERRENDO CREEK AND THE RIO FELIX.

* STRONG FLOWS AND HIGH WATER LEVELS ARE EXPECTED IN ARROYOS...SMALL
  STREAMS AND OVER LOW WATER CROSSINGS. RAPID RUNOFF CAN ALSO BE
  EXPECTED IMMEDIATELY OVER AND DOWNSTREAM FROM WILDFIRE BURN SCARS.

HOURS TO REACH YOUR LOCATION FROM UPSTREAM RAIN AREAS.

  EASTERN LINCOLN COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW MEXICO
  WEST CENTRAL CHAVES COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO

* UNTIL 500 AM MDT

* AT 207 AM MDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  LINE OF STORMS PRODUCING MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINS AS THEY MOVE
  SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST AROUND 15 MPH. REPORTS INDICATE THAT
  GENERALLY AN INCH OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN THE PAST TWO HOURS WITH
  LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL ACCUMULATIONS UP TO
  ONE AND A HALF INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE NEXT TWO HOURS. EXPECT
  INCREASED FLOWS THROUGH ARROYOS...LOW LYING AREAS...AND OTHER
  FLOOD PRONE AREAS.

  THIS WILL IMPACT THE LITTLE BEAR BURN SCAR INCLUDING BUT NOT
  LIMITED TO HIGHWAY 70 FROM BISCUIT HILL TO RIVERSIDE OR FROM MILE
  POSTS 267 TO 300...AND HIGHWAY 48 FROM RUIDOSO TO ESCUDILLA RANCH
  OR FROM MILE POSTS 0 TO 17. OF PARTICULAR CONCERN WILL BE HIGHWAY
  48 AT SKI RUN ROAD...EAGLE CREEK...INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 37 AND
  48...RIO BONITO...AND ESCUDILLA...MAGADO CREEK.

  EVEN MODERATE RAINFALL IN UPSTREAM WATERSHEDS WILL RESULT IN RAPID
  AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS FLOWS ALONG THE RIO RUIDOSO...EAGLE
  CREEK...LITTLE CREEK...MAGADO CREEK...RIO BONITO AND THE RIO HONDO
  FROM THE HIGHWAY 70 AND 380 JUNCTION TO RIVERSIDE. PLEASE CONTACT
  LOCAL AUTHORITIES FOR EVACUATION PROCEDURES AND ROUTES.

  THIS WILL IMPACT THE WHITE FIRE BURN SCAR AS WELL AS RUIDOSO
  DOWNS...HIGHWAY 70 AND RIO RUIDOSO.

  OF THE PECOS RIVER...AND EXTENDING FROM THE HIGHWAY 70 CORRIDOR
  FROM JUST NORTHEAST OF ROSWELL TO NEAR ELKINS SOUTH TO HIGHWAY 380
  AND AREAS FARTHER SOUTH TO STATE ROAD 249.  RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO
  2 INCHES PER HOUR ARE LIKELY. OF PARTICULAR CONCERN WILL BE THE
  MESCALERO SANDS AREA...LONG ARROYO...AND LOCO DRAW THAT WILL CARRY
  FAST MOVING WATER TOWARD THE PECOS.

* AT 1142 PM MDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL FROM FAR
  SOUTHWEST CHAVES COUNTY EASTWARD TOWARD DEXTER AND HAGERMAN.
  THIS ACTIVITY IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING RAINFALL AT RATES BETWEEN
  1 AND 1.5 INCHES PER HOUR. THIS HEAVY RAIN WILL IMPACT DRAINAGES
  TRAVELING EASTWARD TOWARD THE PECOS RIVER...INCLUDING RIO FELIX
  AND RIO PENASCO. HEAVY RAIN WILL ALSO IMPACT PORTIONS OF HIGHWAY
  82...HIGHWAY 13...AND 285.

* STRONG FLOWS AND HIGH WATER LEVELS ARE EXPECTED IN ARROYOS...SMALL
  STREAMS AND OVER LOW WATER CROSSINGS. RAPID RUNOFF CAN ALSO BE
  EXPECTED IMMEDIATELY OVER AND DOWNSTREAM FROM WILDFIRE BURN SCARS.
