.NOW...
A LARGE AREA OF LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN SHOWERS CONTINUES TO TRACK
NORTHEASTWARD OVER MOST OF THE BORDERLAND AROUND 15 MPH. DOPPLER
WEATHER RADAR INDICATES THE HEAVIER SHOWERS AT THIS TIME ARE IN
SOUTHERN DONA ANA AND EASTERN LUNA COUNTIES WHERE RAINFALL RATES
ARE AROUND .5 INCHES PER HOUR. ANOTHER AREA OF HEAVIER RAIN IS
LOCATED BETWEEN WHITE SIGNAL AND SHERMAN IN GRANT COUNT WHERE
RATES ARE AROUND .5 INCHES PER HOUR. THIS ACTIVITY WILL CONTINUE
OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS AS THESE BANDS MOVE NORTHEAST.
ISOLATED EMBEDDED HEAVIER SHOWERS ARE STILL LIKELY AND A SATURATED
AIR MASS TOGETHER WITH SATURATED GROUND WILL KEEP THE FLOODING RISK
VERY HIGH TODAY. PLAN AHEAD FOR CLOSURES AND SLOWER TRAFFIC. DO
NOT ENTER AREAS WHERE WATER IS PONDING OR RUNNING ACROSS ROADWAYS
