THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WORTH HAS EXPANDED THE

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH TO INCLUDE A PORTION OF NORTH CENTRAL
  TEXAS...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...COMANCHE...ERATH AND
  MILLS.

* THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ALONG AND NEAR A WEAK COLD FRONT
  WILL BE POSSIBLE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. THE
  GREATEST POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLOODING IS EXPECTED
  TO OCCUR LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL AVERAGE 1 TO 2 INCHES IN THE WATCH AREA
  WITH ISOLATED HIGHER TOTALS IN EXCESS OF 3 INCHES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR HEAVY
RAIN WHICH MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. YOU SHOULD MONITOR THE
LATEST FORECASTS FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AND BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED FOR
YOUR AREA.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR THE BIG COUNTRY...CONCHO VALLEY...AND THE
NORTHERN HEARTLAND THROUGH 1 PM WEDNESDAY. THIS WILL BE AN AREA
MAINLY ALONG AND NORTH OF A SAN ANGELO TO BROWNWOOD LINE....

.A WEAK FRONT WILL MOVE SLOWLY SOUTH ACROSS THE AREA TONIGHT. THIS
FRONT WILL COMBINE WITH ABUNDANT LOW LEVEL MOISTURE AND AN UPPER
LEVEL STORM SYSTEM TO PRODUCE WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING. THESE STORMS HAVE ALREADY PRODUCED 5 TO 7
INCHES OF RAIN IN SOME AREAS...ESPECIALLY IN AND NEAR THE CITY OF
ABILENE. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLASH FLOODING ARE POSSIBLE.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN ANGELO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR A PORTION OF WEST CENTRAL TEXAS...
  INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...BROWN...COLEMAN...CONCHO...
  IRION AND TOM GREEN.

* THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON

* PERIODS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAVE ALREADY PRODUCED 1 TO
  2 INCHES OF RAINFALL TODAY...WITH AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 3 INCHES
  POSSIBLE THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. SOME AREAS MAY SEE ISOLATED
  TOTALS THAT WOULD BE EVEN HIGHER.

* FLASH FLOODING OF URBAN AREAS..LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND OTHER LOW
  LYING AREAS WILL BE LIKELY AS THE HEAVIER RAINFALL MOVES ACROSS
  THE AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT HEAVY RAINFALL MAY LEAD TO FLASH
FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
