...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM MST FOR
NORTHWESTERN MARICOPA COUNTY...

AT 530 PM MST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS THAT PRODUCED
VERY HEAVY RAINFALL IN THE WARNED AREA HAD WEAKENED AND MOVED TO THE
EAST. UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN ARE ESTIMATED TO HAVE FALLEN IN THE
WARNED AREA...GENERALLY SOUTH OF AGUILA AND NORTHWEST OF TONOPAH.
THIS IS GENERALLY IN THE TIGER WASH AREA AND MAY IMPACT EAGLE EYE
ROAD AND OTHER MINOR ROADS INT HE HUMMINGBIRD SPRINGS WILDERNESS
AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

REMAIN ALERT FOR FLOODING EVEN IN LOCATIONS NOT RECEIVING RAIN.
ARROYOS...STREAMS AND RIVERS CAN BECOME RAGING KILLER CURRENTS IN A
MATTER OF MINUTES...EVEN FROM DISTANT RAINFALL.

AT 514 PM PDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN OVER PORTIONS OF
INTERSTATE 40 WEST OF LUDLOW. RADAR HAS ESTIMATED THAT OVER 2 INCHES
OF RAIN HAS FALLEN WITHIN THE PAST HOUR. STANDING WATER IS LIKELY
ALONG INTERSTATE 40.

FLASH FLOODING WILL REMAIN OVER MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF SOUTHWESTERN
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY.

THIS INCLUDES INTERSTATE 40 IN CALIFORNIA BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 36 AND
48.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED ON ROADS...IN NORMALLY DRY WASHES AND LOW
LYING AREAS. NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOODED ROAD OR ENTER A FLOOD
CHANNEL. TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN! REPORT FLOODING TO THE LAS VEGAS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE VIA FACEBOOK OR TWITTER.

EAST CENTRAL WASHINGTON COUNTY...

AT 600 PM MDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED RAINFALL IN EXCESS OF ONE
INCH HAD FALLEN ACROSS THE NORTH FORK OF THE VIRGIN RIVER INCLUDING
THE NARROWS. ALTHOUGH HEAVY RAINFALL HAS NOW SHIFTED NORTH OF THIS
AREA...EXCESS RUNOFF IS LIKELY TO RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING THROUGH
THE NARROWS...ORDERVILLE CANYON...BEHUNIN CANYON...AND TELEPHONE
CANYON...AS WELL AS RESULT IN ENHANCED FLOW ON THE NORTH FORK OF THE
VIRGIN THROUGH ZION CANYON.
