* UNTIL 1000 PM CDT

* AT 501 PM CDT...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED THAT
  HIGHWAY 6 AT NEW CAMPBELL`S CREEK NORTHBOUND IN ROBERTSON COUNTY
  IS SHUT DOWN AND WATER CONTINUES TO RISE. HIGH WATER HAS ALSO BEEN
  REPORTED ON MANY OTHER ROADS ACROSS BOTH ROBERTSON AND LEON
  COUNTIES.


ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE
WARNED AREA.

COUNTY...

AT 620 PM CDT...THE PUBLIC REPORTED HEAVY RAIN OF 4.8 INCHES IN THE
LAST TWO AND A HALF HOURS SIX MILES EAST OF LEXINGTON. IN ADDITION
ROADS CONTINUE TO BE CLOSED ACROSS THE COUNTY DUE TO FLOODING. THREE
TO SIX INCHES OF RAINFALL HAS FALLEN ACROSS PARTS OF LEE COUNTY.
FLASH FLOODING IS ONGOING.

  HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. 6 TO 8 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE
  ALREADY FALLEN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA, WITH ISOLATED HIGHER
  AMOUNTS OF 8 TO 12 INCHES ACROSS PORTIONS OF WASHINGTON COUNTY.
  FLASH FLOODING IS ALREADY OCCURRING.

* MULTIPLE HIGH WATER RESCUES ARE BEING ATTEMPTED AROUND WASHINGTON
  COUNTY AND RESIDENTS IN THE WARNED AREA ARE URGED TO STAY OFF THE
  ROADS UNTIL FLOODING SUBSIDES.

* FOR LATEST ROAD CLOSURES, RESIDENTS ARE ASKED TO CHECK WITH THE
  TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION OR LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS.

  THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. OVER
  THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN. FLASH FLOODING IS
  EXPECTED TO BEGIN SHORTLY AS SLOW-MOVING THUNDERSTORMS PUSH ACROSS
  THE AREA. THIS WILL IMPACT THE EVENING COMMUTE FOR MOTORISTS ALONG
  INTERSTATE 45, AND DRIVERS ARE URGED TO CHECK WEATHER AND ROAD
  CONDITIONS BEFORE ATTEMPTING TRAVEL THIS EVENING.
