HOT CONDITIONS PERSIST ACROSS NORTH AND CENTRAL TEXAS AND TODAY
WILL NOT BE AN EXCEPTION...BUT HEAT INDEX VALUES ARE EXPECTED TO
CLIMB A FEW DEGREES HIGHER THAN THEY HAVE BEEN THE PAST SEVERAL
DAYS. MANY LOCATIONS ALONG AND EAST OF INTERSTATE 35 WILL
EXPERIENCE HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE 105-108 DEGREE RANGE FOR A FEW
HOURS THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING.

TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS IF YOU WORK OR SPEND TIME OUTSIDE. TAKE
FREQUENT BREAKS IF YOU MUST WORK OUTSIDE TODAY. WHEN
POSSIBLE...RESCHEDULE STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES TO TAKE PLACE IN THE
EVENING HOURS OR EARLY MORNING HOURS. WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE
FITTING CLOTHING...AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER. NEVER LEAVE

THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM GILLHAM TO 10 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF UMPIRE TO NEAR DIERKS TO NEAR CORINTH...AND MOVING
SOUTHEAST AT 10 MPH.

HALF INCH HAIL AND WINDS IN EXCESS OF 30 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH
THESE STORMS.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
DE QUEEN...NASHVILLE...DIERKS...HORATIO...LOCKESBURG...GILLHAM...
CORINTH...CENTER POINT...GENEVA...LEBANON...MUDDY FORK...SILVER RIDGE
AND PROVO.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IS ALSO OCCURRING WITH THESE STORMS...AND MAY
LEAD TO PONDING OF WATER IN LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. DO
NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE THROUGH HIGH WATER OVER ROADWAYS.

FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THESE STORMS.
LIGHTNING CAN STRIKE 15 MILES AWAY FROM A THUNDERSTORM. SEEK A SAFE

OUTDOOR CONDITIONS AND RISING HEAT INDEX VALUES. MAXIMUM
AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES TODAY AND FRIDAY SHOULD BE MAINLY IN
THE 104 TO 108 DEGREE RANGE...WITH THE HOTTEST CONDITIONS EXPECTED
GENERALLY SOUTH AND EAST OF A LINE FROM DEL RIO TO BULVERDE TO
LIBERTY HILL.

LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE TODAY
