THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE
COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER.

...AVALANCHE WATCH FOR GRAND MESA ASPEN AND STEAMBOAT AND FLAT
TOPS...

THE COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER HAS ISSUED AN AVALANCHE
WATCH FOR THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AREA AROUND ASPEN AND THE NORTHERN
MOUNTAINS NEAR STEAMBOAT AND THE FLAT TOPS. A LARGE WINTER STORM IS
MOVING THROUGH THE COLORADO MOUNTAINS BRINGING A SUSTAINED PERIOD OF
SNOWFALL AND ELEVATED WINDS. AVALANCHE DANGER WILL INCREASE RAPIDLY
IN THE HIGH COUNTRY AS SNOW ACCUMULATES AND DRIFTS. HUMAN TRIGGERED
AVALANCHES ARE LIKELY AND THE CHANCE OF NATURAL OR SPONTANEOUS
AVALANCHES WILL INCREASE OVER THE NEXT TWO DAYS. THE AVALANCHE
DANGER MAY RISE TO HIGH (LEVEL 4) ON TUESDAY IF HEAVY SNOW
CONTINUES.
