...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM MDT FOR
BENT COUNTY...

AT 554 PM MDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING
HEAVY RAIN MOVING EAST OF THE WARNED AREA. HOWEVER...RUNOFF FROM
EARLIER HEAVY RAINS CONTINUES.  UP TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN MAY HAVE
ALREADY FALLEN BASED ON DOPPLER PRECIPITATION ESTIMATES. FLASH
FLOODING IS POSSIBLE.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT MAY EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
LAS ANIMAS...JOHN MARTIN RESERVOIR...HASTY...
BLUE LAKE AND FORT LYON.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF A QUARTER INCH ARE POSSIBLE OVER
EXTREME EASTERN PARTS OF THE WARNED AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...FARMLAND...AND OTHER LOW LYING
SPOTS.
