...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST
SATURDAY...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * MODERATE TO HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT EASTERN
   PORTIONS OF ALGER COUNTY INTO EARLY THIS EVENING. A HEAVY BAND OF
   SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP LATE TONIGHT FROM MELSTRAND TO GRAND
   MARAIS...WHILE THE SNOW DIMINISHES ELSEWHERE...INCLUDING AT
   MUNISING.

 * EXPECT AN ADDITIONAL 6 TO 12 INCHES OF SNOW TONIGHT OVER EASTERN
   ALGER COUNTY...HEAVIEST NEAR GRAND MARAIS. SOME OF MORE INTENSE
   BANDS OF SNOW WILL HAVE SNOWFALL RATES IN EXCESS OF TWO INCHES
   PER HOUR. LITTLE IF ANY SNOW WILL OCCUR SOUTH AND WEST OF
   MUNISING.

IMPACTS...

 * ROADS WILL BE SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY.

 * MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO LESS THAN ONE-
   QUARTER MILE AT TIMES...ESPECIALLY FROM MELSTRAND TO GRAND
   MARAIS.

 * A LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF LAKE-
   EFFECT SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS
   OR IMPOSSIBLE.

 * LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL INCREASE THROUGH THE NIGHT OVER
   NORTHERN SECTIONS OF ONTONAGON COUNTY. SNOW SHOWERS SHOULD
   GRADUALLY END OVER SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE COUNTY TONIGHT.

 * HEAVY SNOW SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED OVER NORTHERN ONTONAGON COUNTY
   TONIGHT WITH ADDITIONAL SNOW AMOUNTS OF 5 TO 12 INCHES. THE
   HEAVIEST BANDS OF SNOW WILL AFFECT SILVER CITY...ONTONAGON...MASS
   CITY AND GREENLAND AND SNOWFALL COULD APPROACH TWO INCHES AT TIMES.
   LESS THAN AN INCH OF SNOW WILL OCCUR OVER FAR SOUTHERN ONTONAGON
   COUNTY...INCLUDING AT BRUCE CROSSING AND PAULDING. ANOTHER 4 TO 7
   INCHES OF SNOW COULD OCCUR OVER NORTHERN ONTONAGON COUNTY ON
   SATURDAY.

 * ROADS WILL BE SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY.

 * MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO LESS THAN ONE-QUARTER
