...COLD WIND CHILLS ACROSS NORTHEAST MINNESTOA TONIGHT...

.SNOW WILL CONTINUE IN NORTHWEST WISCONSIN THROUGH THE EVENING.
SNOWFALL MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES ESPECIALLY ALONG THE HIGHER TERRAIN
OF THE GOGEBIC RANGE. SNOW SHOULD END WEST TO EAST OVERNIGHT
TONIGHT...CONTINUING ACROSS PARTS OF IRON AND ASHLAND COUNTY INTO
AT LEAST TUESDAY AFTERNOON. IN ADDITION...A COLD AIRMASS MOVING IN
FROM THE NORTH WILL RESULT IN FRIGID WIND CHILL VALUES LATE TONIGHT
THROUGH LATE TUESDAY MORNING ACROSS MUCH OF THE IRON RANGE...MINNESOTA
ARROWHEAD...AND ALONG THE INTERNATIONAL BORDER.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DULUTH HAS ISSUED A LAKE EFFECT
SNOW WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CST TUESDAY. THE
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* LOCATIONS...MAINLY NORTHERN IRON COUNTY...AROUND
  HURLEY...GURNEY...AND UPSON.

* TIMING...EXPECT SNOW TO CONTINUE...DIMINISHING TUESDAY
  AFTERNOON.

* PRECIPITATION RATES...THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL RATES WILL OCCUR
  OVERNIGHT TONIGHT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 6 INCHES OVERNIGHT TONIGHT AND ANOTHER
  3 TO 5 INCHES ON TUESDAY. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE.

* WINDS / VISIBILITIES...WINDS GUSTING AS HIGH AS 35 MPH WILL
  CAUSE PATCHY BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN
  AREAS. IN ADDITION...SOME REDUCTIONS TO VISIBILITY ARE
  EXPECTED.

* IMPACTS...PLAN ON SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 20 MPH.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF LAKE-
EFFECT SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR
IMPOSSIBLE. LAKE-EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS TYPICALLY ALIGN THEMSELVES
IN BANDS AND WILL LIKELY BE INTENSE ENOUGH TO DROP 1 TO SEVERAL
INCHES OF SNOW PER HOUR FOR SEVERAL HOURS. VISIBILITIES VARY
GREATLY AND CAN DROP TO ZERO WITHIN MINUTES.  TRAVEL IS STRONGLY
DISCOURAGED. COMMERCE COULD BE SEVERELY IMPACTED. IF YOU MUST
TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR
VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.

WEATHER ADVISORY TO A LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING FOR HEAVY LAKE EFFECT
SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST /3 PM CST/
TUESDAY.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE MODERATE TO HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGH
   TONIGHT AND TUESDAY MORNING BEFORE DIMINISHING ON TUESDAY
   AFTERNOON.

 * EXPECT ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON TO RANGE
   BETWEEN 5 AND 10 INCHES FROM IRONWOOD AND WAKEFIELD TO BERGLAND...
   WHITE PINE AND MASS CITY. STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL WILL APPROACH 18
   INCHES AT SOME PLACES IN THIS AREA. FARTHER INLAND...AN
   ADDITIONAL 1 TO 4 INCHES WILL ACCUMULATE FROM WATERSMEET AND
   MARENISCO TO BRUCE CROSSING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

 * EXPECT AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW WITH REDUCED VISIBILITY THROUGH
   TUESDAY AFTERNOON ALONG LAKE SUPERIOR.

 * ROADS WILL BE SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY.
