.SOUTH WINDS WILL BE ON THE INCREASE THIS AFTERNOON AS A LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM APPROACHES THE GREAT LAKES REGION. THE INCREASING
WINDS WILL BUILD WAVES LATE TODAY AND CONTINUE INTO THIS EVENING
BEFORE SUBSIDING THURSDAY MORNING. NORTHWEST WINDS IN THE WAKE OF
A COLD FRONT WILL BE ON THE INCREASE AGAIN LATER THURSDAY TO
LIKELY PROMPT AN EXTENSION OR ISSUANCE OF A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY.

WAVES GREATER THAN 4 FEET ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE HAZARDOUS
CONDITIONS TO SMALL CRAFT. INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...ESPECIALLY
THOSE OPERATING SMALLER VESSELS SHOULD AVOID NAVIGATING IN THESE
CONDITIONS.

.LOW PRESSURE OVER THE PLAINS WILL SHIFT TOWARDS IOWA TODAY AS
SOUTH WINDS CRANK UP DURING THE AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE INTO THE
NIGHT. AS THE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE MOVES ACROSS LAKE MICHIGAN
DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS THURSDAY WINDS AND WAVES WILL
BRIEFLY DIMINISH. THEN WINDS WILL BECOME NORTHWEST LATER THURSDAY
MORNING WITH WINDS INCREASING TO 30 KNOTS BEHIND A DEPARTING COLD
FRONT.
