...NORTH SWELL AND A SHEAR LINE WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS SURF...

.THE COMBINATION OF NORTH SWELL FROM A WINTER STORM EAST OF JAPAN
AND A SHEAR LINE JUST SOUTH OF GUAM WATERS WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS
SURF ALONG NORTH FACING REEFS OF THE MARIANAS. THIS SURF WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND POSSIBLY INTO MONDAY.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CHST MONDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TIYAN HAS ISSUED A HIGH SURF
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CHST MONDAY.

* WAVES AND SURF...SURF ALONG NORTH FACING REEFS BUILT TO BETWEEN
  7 AN 9 FEET THIS AFTERNOON. SURF WILL REMAIN NEAR THESE HEIGHTS
  THROUGH AT LEAST THE WEEKEND.

* TIMING...SURF HAS INCREASED TO HAZARDOUS LEVELS TODAY AND WILL
  MAINTAIN THESE LEVELS THROUGH AT LEAST SUNDAY AND PERHAPS INTO
  MONDAY.

* IMPACTS...DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS AND THE POSSIBILITY OF MINOR
  EROSION ALONG NORTH FACING BEACHES THIS WEEKEND.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN
THE ADVISORY AREA...PRODUCING LOCALIZED BEACH EROSION AND
DANGEROUS SWIMMING CONDITIONS. EXERCISE CAUTION NEAR THE OCEAN.
