...GUSTY WINDS AND ROUGH SEAS EXPECTED TUESDAY INTO TUESDAY NIGHT
SOUTH OF OREGON INLET...

.AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL APPROACH FROM THE SOUTH TONIGHT AND
CROSS THE EASTERN NC COASTAL WATERS TUESDAY. SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS
WILL INCREASE AHEAD OF THE LOW AND AS THE LOW PASSES, BUILDING
SEAS 4 TO 7 FEET ACROSS THE OUTER FRINGES OF THE CENTRAL AND
SOUTHERN COASTAL WATERS. WINDS AND SEAS SUBSIDE WEDNESDAY MORNING
AS THE LOW SHIFTS NORTHEAST OF THE REGION AND HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS
IN FROM THE NORTHWEST.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEWPORT/MOREHEAD CITY HAS ISSUED
A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TUESDAY TO
7 AM EDT WEDNESDAY.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST 10 TO 20 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 KT.

* SEAS...4 TO 7 FEET.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY MEANS THAT WIND SPEEDS OF 25 TO 33 KNOTS
AND/OR SEAS OF 6 FT OR GREATER ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE HAZARDOUS
CONDITIONS TO SMALL CRAFT. INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...ESPECIALLY
THOSE OPERATING SMALLER VESSELS SHOULD AVOID NAVIGATING IN THESE
CONDITIONS.
