The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Lewis County in northeastern Kentucky...

* Until 415 AM EDT.

* At 119 AM EDT, radar indicated that thunderstorms had produced
  heavy rain across the warned area. Radar estimates 1 to 3 inches
  of rain has fallen. Heavy rain continues to fall with another 1 to
  2 inches possible. Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause
  flash flooding to occur.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Petersville, Harris and Epworth.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR MASON...ROBERTSON AND SOUTHEASTERN
BRACKEN COUNTIES REMAINS IN EFFECT Until 300 AM EDT...

At 1254 AM EDT, emergency management reported that thunderstorms had
produced heavy rain and flash flooding was ongoing. Cars were
submerged, and a mobile home was surrounded with people trapped in
Mason County. 2 to 4 inches of rain have fallen. Radar indicated
that heavy rain continues to fall with another 1 to 2 inches
possible. Runoff from this excessive rainfall will continue to cause
flash flooding to occur.

This is a dangerous situation!

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Maysville, Washington, Lewisburg, Mount Olivet, Sardis, US Route 62
at State Route 875, Abigail, Murphysville, Mount Gilead, Stonewall,
Mays Lick, Rectorville, Peed, Fleming-Mason Airport, Orangeburg,
Lowell, Helena, Somo, US Route 62 at State Route 616 and Hittville.

SOUTHWESTERN DEARBORN...NORTHERN SWITZERLAND AND SOUTHERN BOONE
COUNTIES REMAINS IN EFFECT Until 215 AM EDT...

At 1231 AM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated that
thunderstorms had produced heavy rain over the area...with nearly 3
inches of rain being reported near Dillsboro in less than 2 hours.

While widespread heavy rain had ended as of 1230 AM, more showers
and storms were developing across the warning area, as well as to
the west over southern Indiana. This activity will exascerbate
ongoing flooding.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Rising Sun, Versailles, Dillsboro, French, Hartford, Aberdeen, Pate,
Belleview, Big Bone Lick, Benham, Waterloo, Farmers Retreat, Bear
Branch, Friendship, Versailles Lake, Rabbit Hash, Cross Plains, North
Landing and Olean.

  Southern Brown County in southwestern Ohio...
  Southern Adams County in southwestern Ohio...

* Until 330 AM EDT.

* At 1221 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported that thunderstorms
  had produced heavy rain and water rescues were ongoing near Ripley
  and several other points along the Ohio River. Motorists were also
  stranded. Radar indicated that heavy rain continues to fall with
  another 1 to 2 inches possible. Runoff from this excessive
  rainfall will worsen ongoing flash flooding. This is a dangerous
  situation!

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Maysville, Washington, Manchester, Ripley, Aberdeen, Vanceburg,
  Augusta, Brooksville, Rome, Dover, Germantown, Concord, Trinity,
  Bradysville, Ribolt, Charters, South Ripley, Chatham, Tuckahoe and
  Minerva.

  already fallen. Heavy rain continues to fall with another 1 to 2
  inches possible. Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause
  flash flooding to occur.

  Falmouth, Brooksville, Neville, Mount Auburn, Browning Corner,
  Neave, Woolcutt, Bradford, Milford, Willow Grove, Berlin,
  Lenoxburg, Powersville, Santa Fe, Kincaid Lake State Park, Foster,
  Catawba, Johnsville, Rock Springs and Petra.

* At 1140 PM EDT, radar indicated that thunderstorms had produced
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches have
  fallen in some spots along the Ohio River. Heavy rain continues to
  fall with another 1 to 2 inches possible through 1230 AM. Runoff
  from this excessive rainfall will cause flash flooding to occur.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Felicity, Higginsport, Chilo, Redoak and Point Isabel.

* Until 445 AM EDT

* At 139 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. One and a half to two and a
  half inches of rain have fallen across the warned area. Flash
  flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Plummers Landing, Poplar Plains, Muses Mills, Craintown, Waltz and
  Goddard.

  heavy rain across the warned area. As much as two and a half to
  two and three quarters of an inch of rain have already fallen
  across portions of the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
  begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Flemingsburg, Fairview, Mount Carmel, Nepton, Wallingford, Foxport,
  Elizaville, Ewing and Flemingsburg Junction.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
