...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan, and
  northwest Ohio, including the following areas, in northern
  Indiana, Adams, Allen IN, Blackford, Cass IN, De Kalb,
  Elkhart, Fulton IN, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, La
  Porte, Lagrange, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Pulaski, St. Joseph
  IN, Starke, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, White, and Whitley. In
  southwest Michigan, Berrien, Branch, Cass MI, Hillsdale, and
  St. Joseph MI. In northwest Ohio, Allen OH, Defiance, Fulton
  OH, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert, and Williams.

* Through Wednesday afternoon

* 1 to 2 inches of additional rain is expected across the watch
  area, with heaviest amounts expected along and west of
  Interstate 69. Locally higher amounts are possible.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

If you live along streams and rivers or in any flood prone area,

...HEAVY RAINFALL EXPECTED THROUGH THE COMING WEEKEND IN SOUTHERN
INDIANA AND PORTIONS OF CENTRAL KENTUCKY...

.A slow moving frontal boundary will move through the region on
Wednesday and then stall out across the area for the remainder of
the week. Multiple weather disturbances will move northeastward
along the boundary and bring repeated bouts of moderate to heavy
rainfall to the region. 3 to 6 inches of rainfall is expected
across the watch area through Sunday morning. This watch may be
expanded in area in later forecasts as precipitation forecasts
become more clear.

MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Flood Watch for portions of Indiana and Kentucky, including
  the following areas, in Indiana, Clark, Crawford, Dubois,
  Floyd, Harrison, Jefferson, Orange, Perry, Scott, and
  Washington. In Kentucky, Allen, Anderson, Barren, Bourbon,
  Boyle, Breckinridge, Bullitt, Butler, Clark, Edmonson,
  Fayette, Franklin, Grayson, Green, Hancock, Hardin, Harrison,
  Hart, Henry, Jefferson, Jessamine, Larue, Logan, Marion,
  Meade, Mercer, Nelson, Nicholas, Ohio, Oldham, Scott, Shelby,
  Simpson, Spencer, Taylor, Trimble, Warren, Washington, and
  Woodford.

* From Wednesday morning through Sunday morning

* Several rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall are expected across
  the watch area from Wednesday through early Thursday. Additional
  rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected late Thursday
  through late Saturday night. 3 to 6 inches of rainfall is
  expected through Sunday morning which result in excessive runoff
  and flooding.

* This rainfall combined with already saturated soils will lead to
  excessive runoff which will cause already swollen rivers to rise
  more. Significant and continued rises on the Ohio, the Salt, the
  Kentucky River, and the Green River are expected throughout the
  week and into the weekend. In southern Indiana, the Blue River
  and Muscatatuck River will see significant rises later this
  week.

current forecasts.

  central Indiana, south central Indiana, southeast Indiana,
  southwest Indiana, and west central Indiana, including the
  following areas, in central Indiana, Bartholomew, Decatur,
  Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison, Marion,
  Morgan, Rush, and Shelby. In east central Indiana, Delaware,
  Henry, and Randolph. In south central Indiana, Brown, Jackson,
  Lawrence, and Monroe. In southeast Indiana, Jennings. In
  southwest Indiana, Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin, and
  Sullivan. In west central Indiana, Clay, Owen, Putnam, and
  Vigo.

* From 7 PM EST this evening through Wednesday morning

* Periods of moderate to heavy rain are expected across the area
  today and tonight.

* This rain will cause flooding of some area rivers and may
  cause flooding of streams and low lying areas.
